about
Madeline
Not all food stories begin with food. A Seattle native, Maddy grew up playing soccer and running track, was a tom-boy, the local teriyaki joint on the home phone's speed dial, and she wasn't much interested in the culinary or pastry worlds. Maddy studied history and English in New Jersey at Seton Hall University and, following graduation, became a paralegal in the Pacific Northwest. During her off-time, she began baking and cooking for family and friends (and her dog) to relieve stress and fill everyone's bellies with a little bit of happiness. In 2018, she decided to start a new adventure in life and pursue what made her happy: baking, cooking, eating, and making sure other people ate well.
Maddy lives with her partner, Taylor, and their dog Wilson, in the Manzanita, Oregon area. She is still a tom-boy, wishes there was a local teriyaki restaurant, and no longer runs "for fun".
about our
Bakery
All of us have memories of food, especially those that take us back to when we were growing up. Whether it was at Granny's house where she made her baked pecan french toast for holidays, the sweet smell of banana bread in the oven, or sticky salt water taffy at the beach, the smells and tastes of food vividly reminds us of good times that warm the soul.
Our menu at Rising Tides Baking Company is filled with updated takes on traditional breakfast and dessert items with a hint of coastal nostalgia. It is our goal and pleasure to remind you of the sentimental taste of home, holidays, and special events, and we strive to bring out happiness and joy in every bite.
